What gets saved

The calculator runs in your browser. Editing the numbers does not send them anywhere. A record is created only when you download the capex PDF or join the newsletter.

PDF downloads

The download form asks for your name, email, company, and role. Phone, state, buying timeline, an expert-review request, and a newsletter opt-in are optional. We store those fields with the calculator inputs and the calculated results. The PDF is addressed to the name and company you entered. It does not include your email or phone.

Why

The record lets us send the summary you asked for, follow up if you requested a review, and see which equipment questions people are actually running. PlantBench does not sell personal information.

Where it lives

When a database URL is configured, records are stored in Postgres. Without one, they are written to a file on the server. That file works for local use. On a hosted deployment, the database is what makes the list durable. A high-intent submission may also be posted to a notification address the operator configured. If that address is not set, nothing is posted. An expert-review or other high-intent request emails the summary, with the PDF attached, to the operator. The same PDF is emailed to the address you entered unless that copy is turned off. Mail is sent through Resend.

Newsletter

The footer form and the newsletter page store an email, an optional name, and where you signed up. PDF downloads add you only if you check the box. A short confirmation is emailed to that address. If an audience is configured, the address is added there too. To be removed, write to the contact address below, or reply to a note if you have received one.
