PLANTBENCH

About

A worksheet, not a pitch.

Free tool for fruit and vegetable processing plants. Dan Ghadiri built it for the conversation that happens before a purchase order: does this peeler, freezer, robot cell, or line pay back on our volume, our wage, and our power rate? The equipment it covers is peelers, freezers, dehydrators, blanchers, washers, sorters, robotics, automation cells, and full lines.

The site is meant to be useful if you never buy anything. The figures are estimates. They are not a design, a quote, or a guarantee. Defaults are labeled as rough assumptions because a blank spreadsheet is where optimistic numbers go to hide.

Dan Ghadiri leads VegTech Systems and Bigtem USA. VegTech and Bigtem sell processing equipment, robotics, and automation. That is disclosed here so the expert-review box is not a surprise. Checking “Request a review from the VegTech team” means you want a person to look at the assumptions with you. Leaving it unchecked means you just wanted the PDF. PlantBench is independent of any single OEM.

It works for any plant in North America and beyond. Replace the defaults with your own numbers, especially local power rates and seasonal schedules. A state selector can fill U.S. industrial averages for electricity, natural gas, and a production wage. Those are averages, not your tariff, and a seasonal calendar is not a year-round one.
